Guide How to Root and Install TWRP Recovery on Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace with ODIN.

Root And Install TWRP recovery Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace. If now currently you have a plan to root the Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace device. Comes with 4,3 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. Powered by Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 - J111F CPU, Spreadtrum SC9830 chipset, Mali-400MP2 GPU. Supported by 1 GB of RAM, combined by 5 MP of primary camera, 2 MP of secondary camera. Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Android OS, v4.4.4 (KitKat). These are Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace versions ;
  • J110L with no LTE (Brazil)
  • J110F (Australia, Africa, UAE)
  • J110G (Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore)
  • J110M (New Zealand, LATAM)

Prerequisites.

To start this guide download all file below.
  1. Download ODIN flash tool, then extract all file on your computer folder. Here

  3. Download SuperSU file, this file used to root Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace. Here
  4. https://download.chainfire.eu/696/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip?retrieve_file=1
  5. Then, get the latest TWRP recovery for your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace device
    • Go to twrp.me
    • Click device.
    • Search for TWRP for your device at the search bar.
    • For example type : Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace and press enter.

    • Then click your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace versions at the search result.
    • Scroll down and find download links.
  6. Then, put your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace to download mode. How to do this ?
    • Press and hold Volume Down button + Power Button + Home Button at the same time.
  7. Release all button if you see a warning on Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace screen.

  8. You can use volume UP button to continue, or use volume down button to cancel and restart phone.
  9. If the Volume UP pressed you will continue to download mode.

  10. Then, connect your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace to the PC using USB cable.
  11. It's time to launch ODIN software from the start menu
  12. Once ODIN window appear, your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace will detected on certain COM, for example COM4.
  13. Now click AP button to load TWRP recovery you have downloaded before.

  14. Once TWRP recovery already inserted to the ODIN software, now click Start button.
  15. Just wait a while until finish. The device will restart automatically and boot into TWRP mode.
  16. Now, just slide to allow modifications. and now you are in TWRP main menu.

Root Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace.

  1. First, boot your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace into recovery mode.
  2. From the TWRP recovery main menu tap install
  3. Now, navigate to SD Card and search for the file (UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip)
  4. Then, Swap to confirm flash. Just wait the flashing process
  5. Once flashing process finished, now tap wipe cache/dalvik and swap to wipe
  6. Then back to TWRP home-screen, and tap Reboot and select System.
  7. Now the Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace will reboot.
  8. Once this device boot up and ready to use, you can download root-checker form Google Play to check root status.
  9. Finish, now your Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace already have root access.
